I have been using Vimeo as my video server since 2020. There are various purchase options. I have the Pro Plan, which cost $20/month (2024). This plan provides 20 GB/week upload, which is very adequate.

I have embed=ON, specific domain = rjerz.com.
So this video can be played from this web page, but it should not play from other environments, for example, emailing the link to someone.
This is an example of a Vimeo "customized link." I have this set to play on a new page.

Vimeo has some default settings that can be adjusted in code. I am not yet sure how to remove the extra space below the video.
